IBJJF Geneva Open (Gi and Nogi)

May 4

There is a tournament coming up: The Geneva International Open IBJJF Tournament, and it’s happening in Geneva, Switzerland, one of the largest Cities in Switzerland. Let me tell you all about it.

This event is taking place on May 4th and 5th in 2024. It’s a special competition where athletes from all over come to compete and have fun. But guess what? If too many athletes sign up because they all want to join the fun, the organizers might add another day to the competition. That means more excitement and more chances to watch or participate in matches!

The tournament will be at a place called Salle Omnisports du Petit-Lancy. It’s a big gym where lots of sports happen, located at Avenue Louis-Bertrand 5-7 in Petit-Lancy, Geneva. It sounds like a great place to meet other athletes and show what you’ve got!

Now, if you’re thinking of joining or you know someone who is, there’s something important to remember – the cost. To be part of the tournament, there’s a fee. If you sign up by April 5th, it costs $130. But if you wait until April 26th, the price goes up to $157. There’s also a special deal called the “Geneva International Open IBJJF 2024 – Combo” for $222 if you sign up early, or $268 if you sign up a bit later if you want to do both gi and nogi.

And for those who just want to watch and cheer on their friends or family, there’s great news. Watching the competition won’t cost you a thing! That’s right, it’s free to be a spectator. So, you can come and enjoy all the excitement without worrying about tickets.

So, whether you’re going to compete or just cheer from the sidelines, the Geneva International Open IBJJF Tournament is going to be an amazing event. It’s a chance to see some awesome Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, meet new people, and maybe even take home a medal. Don’t miss out! The team from BJJ Lab Zürich will definitely be there!
